We are looking for a proven self-motivated individual with a record of demonstrating significant sales growth within the building and construction industry. This person must possess a passion for brand-specific product promotion and specification. The primary objective for this position is to manage the architectural and design specification process and will be responsible for lead generation, customer development and ultimately gaining specifications resulting in new revenue growth within the assigned geographic area for the organization. Key Responsibilities - Accountability to exceed quarterly product specification targets and tracking of specification efforts to exceed Sales Team budget sales. - Identify, initiate, build, and maintain relationships with key architects, designers, and product specifiers within the architectural and design community of your geography to increase market share and bolster overall sales volume. - Introduce Hufcor product lines, with strong focus on Glass Wall Solutions, and build brand awareness by making regular face to face calls to existing and new specifiers, and the entire A/E/C community. - Work independently, cooperatively, and enthusiastically towards the company and team's goals and directives. - Work with the internal sales and marketing team to develop programs for architects and designers. - Successful track record in an outsides sales environment (preferably within the building & construction industry) - Solid analytical skills in identifying client needs and aligning them to product offerings. - Service existing as well as targeted accounts with the goal of nurturing relationships and increasing key product specifications, generate sales leads, and serve as technical consultant. - Provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism by generating and managing specifications from product selection through product delivery and job completion. - Resolve any client concerns and complaints by developing viable and fair solutions. - Monitor competition by gathering current information on pricing and products. - Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by reviewing product literature, manuals, and manufacturer bulletins, as well as attending Corporate Sales Training School. - Analyze client product needs, growth patterns, and market trends. - Multitask and prioritize work through effective time management. - Utilization of CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to track and report call activity, project tracking, and presentation scheduling. - Schedule and conduct product knowledge/promotion sessions with the A & D community and General Contractors / Owners / Facility Managers when appropriate. Active involvement with all industry related trade shows. - Participation in associations (CSI / AIA) and developing events to improve specifications presence. - Provide technical assistance and cross training to others across the organization. Required Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar discipline. - Background in construction materials preferred. - 5-10 years' experience selling, preferably architecturally specified products - Strong presentation and demonstration skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to travel daily throughout the sales territory - Ability to overnight travel 35% of the time and work non-standard hours.
