You will come on board at a truly exciting time, and as a member of the commercial team; you will play a pivotal and crucial part in identifying, developing, implementing, and managing the sales and business strategy as well as service delivery for Agency Commerce in the assigned country/region and/or for the assigned customer type. The sector you ll work within is a critical segment for Travelport & the US; comprising small to mid-market customers, who collectively have a large volume footprint. This leadership role works closely with other Americas teams; Commercial Operations, Commercial Solutions and Partnerships, Air Commerce, Hospitality, Finance, Technology, and Marketing teams. Everyone collaborating and influencing in the sale, delivery and effective performance of products and services. You will get to develop and in-depth knowledge of the growth trajectory of the customers in this sector and have the ability to help align Travelport internal products and capabilities to this trajectory bringing in the resources outlines as needed. The Sales Director will be responsible for a team of 8, so we hope to find a superb people manager and strong sales leader, who will be leading by example and developing and fueling business and personal team growth. We have a very ambiguous environment. All potential candidates must have strong discipline and experience around driving rhythm and rigor in sales teams. This critical role has 8 key responsibilities. Your role will involve * Full ownership of the P&L for all TMCs in the Corporate, driving the sales and delivery teams to further develop promoting products which directly contribute to our P&L and market share growth. * Continue, gain commitment to and execute the growth strategy specifically targeted to assigned to TMCs focused on reclaiming the market and ensuring the communication of our revamped focus. The strategy is focused on service and promotion of key products which place us above our competitors, servicing every customer tier but aiming towards a redefinition of our current client base that drives growth in the short and long-term. * Develop an in-depth knowledge of the business plan and growth strategy of agencies in this portfolio in order to align our product roll out strategy to their future growth plans. * Identify new opportunities for growth, (i.e., corporate or consortiums deals, and corporate direct opportunities) and new content and deliver timely implementation of products which can differentiate us in the market not only through timely requesting ERFs but also through seeking 3rd party vendors in conjunction with the newly formed Commercial Solutions and partnership teams. * As a member of the US leadership team, work actively with the rest of the team to design and execute on the strategies needed for growth and EBIDTA delivery in the region. * Apply in depth knowledge of market trends and risks and apply that knowledge to achieve growth goals, as well as expand current business. * Work alongside the Commercial Solutions and Partnerships and Senior Director of Corporate Booking Tools to establish the accurate tools and solutions required to grow in the Subject Matter Expert in the corporate space. * Actively managing and seeking to influence the Government Sector ensuring influence is brought on the necessary parties to ensure a favorable footprint for Travelport. While actively looking to pursue a wider footprint for us in this space. You ll be an innovator, passionate, accountable and solutions focused, not to mention adaptable, hungry for a challenge and an individual who thrives on partnering. Capabilities: * Minimum of 10 years of effective sales and leadership experience of large sales teams and organizations. * Ability to manage large, complex and cross functional projects involving all related resources. * Creativity to bring business models that allows flexibility to differentiate Travelport in the different markets. * Demonstrated experience creating pragmatic sales visions and to translating into reality. * Clear track record of effectively managing change and building local and remote sales teams. * Multiple internal and external contacts and relationships; networking is key to the success of the role. * You will be required to interact with staff, central and regional Travelport departments as well as customers, content partners and 3rd parties across the region. * Expected to align their responsibilities with other Travelport organizations, as appropriate and to work together with them to develop integrated business models for cross-business unit solutions. * Effective leadership of team and sales management. * Effectively network and influence on internal and relationship-building. * Significant travel is required If this sounds like you, we d love for you to get in touch.
