The function on Global Marketing Associated Director Poultry is part of the Global Poultry Marketing Unit and reports to the Global Poultry Lead. This unit sets the strategic direction for the Poultry Business Worldwide and must also ensure alignment with this strategy with all functions within the organization. This position, Global Marketing Associated Director, Poultry will be based in Madison, New Jersey, USA. The Global Marketing Associated Director is primarily responsible for: * Manage the Hatchery vaccination equipment offer at Merck Animal Health. Including analysis of financial offers to customers, supplier and partners relationship, diversification and business development opportunities * Understand, anticipate and explore market trends, expressed and unexpressed customers' unmet needs and take full advantage of them for the hatchery vaccination market * Develop and deploy plans specifically for hatchery vaccination devices and services for the Convenience Program. * Create mid to long-term business strategy across hatchery vaccination equipment and be responsible for maximizing the current portfolio, mainly in the in ovo vaccination solution and services bridging the future needs and today's revenues generation. * Create, develop and deploy international promotional and marketing campaigns and materials for the equipment used in hatchery vaccination * Communicate the strategies appropriately and efficiently with the Regions and Commercial operations stakeholders. Communicate the strategies appropriately and efficiently to all other internal stakeholders. * Coordinate with the Global Technical Directors the necessary Life Cycle Management studies and activities to combine the vaccine portfolio and the vaccination equipment * Identifying marketing training needs and developing programs to address gaps in local markets. Qualifications Position Qualifications: Education Minimum Requirement: * Bachelor's Degree, preferably a degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Medicine or Animal Science Required Experience and Skills: * Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Marketing, Sales and/or Technical Services in Poultry hatchery segment. * Strong Marketing and Strategic Business Thinking Capabilities * Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with different sources of information * Fluent English speaker * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including intercultural, interpersonal and general communication with a natural ability to work in a collaborative team environment. * Ability to create, nurture, and drive a collaborative team environment * Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, namely Excel and PowerPoint * Demonstrated leadership skills Preferred Experience and Skills: * Master and/or Doctor degree in the field would be preferred * Project management experience * Experience in a global or regional role * Other languages (Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Chinese) are beneficial Your role at Merck is integral to helping the world meet new breakthroughs that affect generations to come, and we're counting on your skills and inventiveness to help make meaningful contributions to global medical advancement.
