Job Summary: Thinklogical is the leading manufacturer and provider of fiber optic KVM, SDI, and DVI extension solutions, as well as Information Assurance (Common Criteria, EAL4) accredited fiber matrix routers and switches. Organizations worldwide rely on Thinklogica's products and solutions for optimal performance in secure visual computing environments. Through pioneering next generation fiber optic extension, switching and server management technologies, Thinklogical helps customers reduce cost and simplify the management of complex computing infrastructures. Thinklogical sells directly and through integrator and VAR channels, Thinklogical is headquartered in Milford, Connecticut and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Belden Inc. Thinklogical's new Director of Sales for Mid-Atlantic/FSIs will report to the Vice President of Federal Sales and be responsible for Virginia, DC, and Maryland DoD business plus FSI sell to/sell thru. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent leadership skills and experience in working with FSIs to capture programmatic funding. They will have extensive experience with federal procurement. They will have worked in the FSI space and have extensive contacts at three or more large FSIs (i.e. Boeing, Northrup Grumman, General Dynamics, Leidos, Raytheon, etc.). They will be particularly adept at prospecting for new opportunities among FSIs where disruptive technology acts a competitive advantage. They will be a team player; able to quickly hunt for new business and leverage the rest of the sales, engineering, and executive team to close opportunities. This position is located in Northern VA. The candidate will divide their time between a home office, local travel, and the Thinklogical facility in Vienna, VA. There may be occasional non-local travel as well. It is expected that the successful candidate will have resided in the DC Metro area for several years. Responsibilities: * Develop and execute a strategic plan to insert Thinklogical solutions into new strategic programs with FSI primes. * Grow the awareness and understanding of Thinklogical solutions among FSIs. * Generate new Thinklogical pipeline by working with FSIs to modernize solutions on existing contracts or displace legacy solutions via competitive take-outs. * Generate Thinklogical revenue from the DoD customers in VA, DC, and MD. * Generate Thinklogical leads within the FSI-space for conversion by geographically-based Sales Directors. This includes leveraging the Thinklogical Advanced Technlogy Concept Center (ATCC) in Vienna, VA for FSI program teams and customers. * Win opportunities for Thinklogical; achieve annual quota targets. * Establish an open and regular communication with headquarters regarding FSI needs. Required Skills and Experience * At least 10 years in a sales leadership position in the DoD and/or Intelligence space. * At least 5 years calling on FSIs in the DoD and/or Intelligence space. * Experience selling A/V, VTC,and/or VDI is a plus. Ideally, this would include selling legacy solutions considered competitive to Thinklogical. * Past military or IC experience prior to sales career is a plus. * Clearance is a plus; preferably TS-SCI.Critical Skills * Communicates withKey Buyers: Understands the best approach to communicate with each decision maker within the prospect organisation.
