Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Manage the analytics and related Management Information System (MIS) reporting functions to support the commercial lending/leasing businesses of Commercial Equipment Capital (CEC). Through data intensive activities, support the development, refinement, and reporting of strategic actions for CEC based small ticket commercial financing across all origination channels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Manage the analytics function associated with pricing, acquisition and servicing for the CEC based commercial equipment financing line of business. 2. Develop and maintain tools for management of pricing, credit policies and profitability associated with the CEC equipment financing line of business. 3. Interface with Financial Management and Risk Management to forecast production, net interest margins and losses for the CEC originations and portfolios across all business channels. 4. Interface with Risk Management and BB&T Quantitative Credit Risk Analytics (QCRA) and Model Risk Management teams to support the creation, monitoring and maintenance of related custom scoring models. 5. Maintain analytical oversight of existing credit policies and provide recommendations for change. 6. Provide leadership in pricing/credit policy meetings; develop/maintain appropriate governance. 7. Oversee the change and control function for the pricing function. 8. Monitor market trends and competitor pricing programs. 9. Assist in training sales and underwriting associates in reference to loan pricing and profitability metrics. Act as a catalyst for strategic change. 10. Assess, compile and organize data for pricing, underwriting, sales and financial performance relevant to the origination/servicing of small commercial loans and leases. 11. Create and maintain production and performance databases that can be used to compile data for analytical and reporting purposes. 12. Design, produce, maintain and distribute reports, both in a production environment and on an ad-hoc basis, to support business planning and profitability management activities. 13. Develop business unit wide analytical tools for decision support and sales activities. 14. Assume the role of data manager for CEC and provide governance for the company's key operating systems. Required Skills and Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and related training 2. Ten years of relevant experience with emphasis in sales and sales management, marketing, credit/underwriting and risk management 3. Strong understanding of structured query language (SQL) Server, SQL, business intelligence (BI) tools, statistical analysis system (SAS); fluency with relational databases located within multiple platforms 4. Strong foundational knowledge of the commercial finance business 5. Strong leadership and management skills 6. Strong sales and negotiation skills 7. Strong verbal and written communication skills 8. Excellent objective reasoning and analytical skills 9. Ability to explain difficult concepts to multiple stakeholders and gather consensus to implement changes 10. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products 11. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight Desired Skills: 1. Master's degree in business-related field or graduate of BB&T Banking School 2. Knowledge of commercial loan originating and servicing operations 3. Knowledge of loan origination systems, accounting systems and Contact Relationship Management (CRM) systems 4.
