RESPONSIBILITIES. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job DescriptionThe Axiom CFO plays a vital role in the success of the company by providing Financial and Managerial Leadership to the organization. The CFO partners with the Executive Team on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and the securing of new funding. Various HR management functions will be assigned to the CFO to oversee and insure proper processing.. Authorization to work in the US is required. Relocation packages are not offered. *Note: we are Axiom Technology Group at . Finance Responsibilities. Develop and analyze information to assess the current and future financial status. Provide recommendations on actions to take based on various analyses. Oversee and optimize cash flow. Prepare and review detailed budgets and financial forecasts. Produce and review progress against monthly and annual forecasts on a regular basis. Ensure management is aware of budgets and overages; work with C level employees and their direct reports to resolve any related issues. Prepare reports and present to the executive team on financial health of the organization. Oversee all monthly and year-end closings and quarterly tax documentation. Maintain appropriate business insurance to mitigate business risks. Evaluate existing finance processes to determine if any efficiency improvements are required. Facilitate regular Finance Department team meetings. Management Responsibilities for Finance Department:. Manage and support Finance Manager on day-to-day responsibilities (accounts receivable, payables, invoices and reconciliations). Provide direction and support to the Finance Manager through weekly one on one meetings. Safeguard, control and account for all Company assets through a tagging and physical inventory system. Mentor Finance Manager on professional development goals. HR Responsibilities. Oversee payroll. Manage benefits and insurance claims processing. Manage Axioms suite of benefits (401k, unemployment, medical, etc.) insuring optimal benefits to Axiom and Axiom employees. Respond to inquiries from employees as to status and availability of benefits. Prepare and monitor Axiom HR and Financial policies as represented in the Axiom employee handbook. Management Responsibilities for Procurement:. Manage and support the Finance Manager on day-to-day responsibilities in the Procurement arena (vendor negotiations, payment terms, external vendor arrangement, continual vendor evaluations). Establish and oversee best practices for managing all service providers, insuring cost effectiveness and optimal benefits to Axiom. Work with Chief Operating Officer to provide best solutions and processes for Procurement as it effects the Support and Project Teams. Complete and submit credit applications as required by vendors. Manage Finance and Procurement Departments. Finance Manager and, through that position, the Accounting Clerk. Bookkeeper (currently an independent contractor). Strong accounting and finance skills. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Ability to effectively work with various levels of employees within the organization. Strong decision-making abilities. Proactive willingness to initiate projects. Ability to work well in a team environment. Detail-oriented and good at multi-tasking. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE. Strong background and work experience in finance, minimum of. 10 years required.
