Job Details Senior Manager, Marketing - Merchandise Job ID: 125375 Store ID: Brand: The Home Depot Location: Atlanta, GA Job Type: Corporate/Other Category: Marketing Apply POSITION PURPOSE The Sr Manager Marketing - Services will develop best-in-class marketing strategies and plans to maximize lead generation through driving traffic and improved conversion. The responsibility of the Sr. Manager Marketing - Services is to develop long and short term marketing strategy and business position for Home Depot Services and the attached Products. This position will serve as the primary liaison between the Merchandising leadership, specifically the Senior Vice Presidents of Services, and all Marketing cross functional departments. This person will manage and develop a team of Marketing Managers, who have responsibility to manage both strategic and tactical execution of marketing programs for their respective departments. This position will also have direct responsibility to serve as the marketing lead for multiple departments on the Home Services team. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * 25% Work with senior merchandising leadership to develop long and short term marekting strategies, as well as find and execute targeted marketing opportunities * 40% Accountable for team of Merchandise Marketing Managers who serve as chief marketing officers of their respective merchandising departments. Ensure they provide strong strategic planning, tactical execution, total integration and creative vision for their clients. * 25% Develop monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans for assigned merchandising department(s) based on competitive analysis, consumer input, financial data and creative tactics. * 10% Develop and maintain strong relationships with merchandise vendors. The goal of these relationships is to establish unique sales driving opportunities to THD and support the Merchandise Marketing Managers as they direct and manage incremental vendor funding for marketing projects and provide value opportunities for merchant sales negotiations. NATURE AND SCOPE Typically reports to Director, Client Services Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues - including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time. Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Additional Minimum Qualifications: Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. Years of Relevant Work Experience: 7 years Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive awareness and lead/pipeline generation efforts across multiple Channels & touch points * Experience with business planning and strategy and with proven ability to develop and execute marketing plans with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results * Experience discovering and activating customer insights that lead to sales growth in the form of new product or service launches, existing product improvements and improved marketing efficiency * Deep understanding and Experience in utilizing Salesforce, specifically Marketing Cloud solutions, to nurture, track and report on leads and Lead conversions * Experience in the application of research findings and customer analytics to the retail environment * Ability to assimilate extensive amounts of detailed data to see the big picture, analyze and summarize large amounts of information as well as understand all of the detail supporting the analysis * Project management, leadership and solid ability to problem-solve creatively * Intellectual curiosity and the drive to push the boundaries of traditional thinking * Strong communication capabilities both written and verbal. Comfortable in communicating with leadership levels Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing cross functional work relationships Highly organized with ability to combine strategic direction with hands on tactical execution Knowledge of consumer and product research, market segmentation and competitive intelligence/ analysis Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and build integrated marketing plans Must be eighteen years of age or older.
