Posted on Jan 16, 2019 by Essity
With a good safety focus you will be responsible for defined preventive and predictive maintenance on our paper machine who will participate in the development and implementation of condition based maintenance programs. You will trouble shoot equipment/process problems to root cause in conjunction with team members, to ensure rapid resolution of problems. Working to KPIs that are based on 'fix-it-for-good' mentality, you will also support and coach colleagues in handling technical issues. Safety is key to everything we do at Essity and so you will need to take responsibility of completing all work in a safe manner both for yourself and those around you.
Having completed a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship preferably with a minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualifications, you will also have experience of working in a manufacturing and process environment, as you will need to prove that you can maintain complex automated manufacturing systems and equipment. Further experience of PLC's Siemens controlled equipment, invertor drives is key, and process instrumentation knowledge and skills would be an advantage.
As a natural technical trouble shooter, using your proven fault-finding skills, you will have the ability to work effectively using your strong communication skills both as part of a team and autonomously. You will be used to meeting tight timelines, working on computers and working safely to maintain production.
Training will be given by our experienced and friendly team on-site, with longer term opportunities also available to progress your career.
