Our client, based in the Lancashire area, require a Quality Inspector on a permanent basis on DAYS.

The standard working week is Monday to Friday (7:30 - 4:15pm) and the starting hourly rate will be £12.48/hr PAYE.

The position is commutable from Wigan, Blackpool, Bolton, Preston, Darwen, Blackburn, Chorley & Accrington.

To be considered for the role you must be a Time Served/fully qualified Quality Inspector who has excellent inspection experience and ideally a heavy engineering background.

It is a heavy industry environment, so prior experience of working within a heavy industrial environment would be beneficial.

Further training will be available and therefore potential to increase salary following successful training.

Purpose of Role:

As Quality Inspector you will be responsible for carrying out inspections and report any non-conforming / rejected parts.

Experience Required:

•Experienced Quality Inspector in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
•Ultrasonic & MPI Inspection experience, ideally qualified to level 2 as a minimum.
•Experience with inspecting metal components for defects, cracks, subsurface defects.
•Able to read engineering drawings and be from an engineering/manufacturing background.
•Hands-on knowledge & experience of Quality Inspection procedures and processes
•Manual measurement tools, Vernier, micrometers and gauges.
•Be IT Literate - MS Office

Job Responsibilities:

•Detailed inspection of manufactured items to ensure they conform to strict defined quality requirements according to engineering drawings & product specifications.
•Ensure any non-conforming products are successfully replaced and reported.
•Liaise with Engineering to ensure successful resolution of any quality-based issues.
•Goods receiving inspection as required.
•Reporting any quality defects to the Quality Manager.
•Working with the Quality Manager to rectify and issues.
