A well-established engineering company that manufactures composite parts for various sectors require a Product Engineer for their Rotherham based site.
Our client is looking for a Product Engineer with experience of understanding engineering drawings working with customers from enquiry stage through to manufacturing process.
THE IDEAL PRODUCT ENGINEER
Suitable candidates MUST have experience in the following to be considered:
-Ideally have be HNC/HND qualified (or have a Mechanical degree but this isn't essential), in Mechanical Engineer or have a mechanical aptitude.
-Ideally have experience dealing with customer enquiries on the telephone, working with designs, quotations, order processing and working with deliveries.
-Ideally have a commercial background with experience in dealing with day to day business and sales.
-Candidates with experience in working with composite materials, steel, plastic or exotic materials would have an advantage.
-Have experience or be conversant in creating or working with 2D CAD drawings such as AutoCAD (which counts for about 10% of the workload).
This would suit candidates who have experience as a Technical Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Estimator but other experience would be considered.
This is a real opportunity to learn and grow within a business with potential to attend exhibitions and travel overseas with the company.
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Salary: £20-23k per annum
Duration: Permanent position
Shifts: Regular days
