The plant will operate with a team of around 30 people for the first line and there is the potential to extend in the future.
This is a full time role based on the Saltend Site in Hull and candidates must be capable of arriving on site quickly if required. The role may also require some overseas travel to our clients other plants in Europe.
Managing the commissioning programme as well as providing direction to the relevant associated teams and internal/external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Promote project and client quality, safety and environmental standards through best practice to warrant zero harm to personnel, plant, equipment and the environment.
Ensure that a safe environment is maintained between construction and commission interfaces.
Development and ownership of the commissioning programme and associated documentation.
Execute and supervise all activities in accordance to commissioning guidelines and deadlines
Manage planning strategies and ensure the correct resources are available to achieve the target project completion
Lead the team on the commissioning goals and objectives.
Manage and update project records and necessary reporting.
Manage the resolution of any issues throughout the commissioning process.
Regular review and updates of the Review Commissioning Plan (including release and pre-commissioning) in terms of timeline and resources.
Review and planning of raw material and chemicals requirements for commissioning.
Preparation/review of the outline of a Commissioning HSE Plan.
Review/implementation and management of the numbering system for commissioning in sections.
Management of the project completions database.
Participate in the writing and review of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning procedures.
Conducting commissioning training and awareness to all relevant personnel.
Lead the commissioning team in a successful and safe construction; completions checking, release of sections, pre-commissioning or sections and commissioning of the plant.
Interact and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to EPC contractor/s, insurance, Environmental Agency, landlord, project and management team.
Establish a "lessons learnt" process to ensure continuous improvements throughout the commissioning process.
Qualification / Experience Requirements:
Ideally degree or qualification in Chemical/Process Mechanical Engineering or extensive plant experience.
Process operations experience in Process operational experience in a Chemical/Petro-Chemical environment.
Proven track record in Operations, Construction & Commissioning.
Minimum of 5 Years as Startup Commissioning Manager.
Excellent Communicator with Considerable People and Time Management Skills.
Company Champion with Zero Incident Policy towards HSE.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Recognised qualification in Project Management e.g. Six Sigma.
