Payroll Administrator

McGill s Bus Service Ltd are Scotland s largest privately owned Bus Company. Due to continued recent acquisitions and activity within the Group, we are now looking for an experienced person to take charge of payroll processing in respect of these newly acquired entities.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work as part of a small team at our Head Office, based at Greenock, Inverclyde. This role would suit those looking to work part time hours working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (24 hours per week).

There will be a requirement to operate weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.

Tasks include ensuring all HMRC legislation is kept up to date and that all company pension responsibilities are handled diligently as well as issuing employee payslips electronically, generating reports for the Finance/Operations teams and preparing/posting journals to general ledgers.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate both a good attention to detail and discretion around payroll matters and you will be expected to liaise with both internal colleagues and external bodies.

Experience of using Sage Line 50 Payroll and Microsoft Office would be a distinct advantage to those applying.
