Collaborate with the project partners and clients to deliver vital national and international projects in transport and property infrastructure; mining and oil and gas. This will be done by;
+ Assuming technical responsibility for large scale and complex projects, you'll manage project teams to deliver smart client solutions.
+ The role represents the company with clients, consultants and contractors developing relationships, exploring growth opportunities and converting these to revenue generating work.
+ Making responsible decisions not usually subject to technical review, decide on courses of action necessary to expedite the successful accomplishment of assigned projects, and make recommendations involving large sums or long range objectives.
+ Assume technical responsibility for interpreting, organising and executing large scale and complex projects. Includes scoping, cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, client reporting, project scheduling/resourcing and meeting deadlines and budgets
+ Develop, provide and promote novel, innovative, complex or critical technical solutions and initiatives to meet clients' needs
+ Manage teams to complete technical and non-technical tasks including; fieldwork; collating, analysing, interpreting and presenting data; document preparation (reports, proposals, correspondence)
+ Maintain internal quality control and conduct peer reviews
+ Initiate or participate in short-range or long-range planning and make independent decisions on policies and procedures within an overall program
+ Develop and maintain positive relationships with client key decision makers
+ Collect and capture market intelligence from team members; select opportunities for investigation and execution; identify and communicate cross-sell opportunities to other service lines
+ Contribute to the development of winning proposals: ensure correct translation of client engagement meetings/briefings into submitted documentation; ensure that preferred supplier, shortlist or selection notification is conveyed to stakeholders; deliver oral presentation to clients and progress opportunities to contract execution
+ Disseminate client intelligence to secure further work and any client or project feedback that may affect the sales process of future sales opportunities
+ Monitor emerging technical developments, trends and innovations to increase competitive advantage; participate in industry forums and seminars; promote market knowledge sharing
+ Chartered status
+ MSc or MEng in geotechnics (or related)
+ Apply deep knowledge of innovative geotechnical engineering and project management principles
+ Significant experience and understanding of the operating model of a specialist consulting business
+ Proven ability in a client facing role
+ identifies opportunities and converts them to revenue generating work
