The Merchandise Planner (Inventory and Supply Planning) role will focus on ensuring that the business' inventory needs are fulfilled and inventory is optimized. This role will work closely with Demand Planning, Sourcing and Operations teams to plan, analyze and communicate inventory levels reacting to business trends. The Merchandise Planner is responsible for developing and executing inventory strategies for their respective product category.

Inventory Management
• Creates and executes inventory strategies
• Work closely with Merchants on new products and quarterly assortment initiatives
• Propose unique solutions to complex inventory issues with minimal direction
• Works closely with Planning Analyst and is accountable for warehouse replenishment
• Optimizes inventory and reduces risk through strategic inventory investments
• Communicates upcoming inventory needs to sourcing and production
• Identify sales opportunities and collaborates with team members to execute
• Identify and react to fast / slow sellers and develop action plans to optimize inventory levels

Reporting and Analysis
• Analyze key business trends daily / weekly and develop recommendations to drive profitable sales
• Provide timely and accurate reports including summaries and ad hoc requests
• Responsible for the analysis, data interpretation and helping to develop solutions / action plans

Systems, Communication and Support
• Intense focus on data integrity
• Helps identify system and reporting enhancements
• Liaise with sourcing and production teams to ensure orders are executed and delivered on time
• Partners with Merchants and Buyers to communicate inventory levels
• Works with tech on continuous development and refinement of planning system and tools

• Bachelor's degree required (GPA 3.0 or greater)
• +3 years' experience in inventory management/planning, merchandising & buying, operations, sales, or highly analytical role
