About the Role
To provide functional Quality leadership across the respective Delivery Units
To be the Quality expert and provide specialist support of quality skills to support project delivery & group activities.
What You'll be doing
As the Quality Lead, you will have the following responsibilities:
Providing project Quality leadership across the respective Delivery Units and roll out of the BBK quality strategies;
Support the Quality policy;
Support and drive the BB Defect Free Delivery Programme across the business;
Completion of Tender submissions with Quality input;
Support the implementation and management of Process Controls (Short Interval Controls);
Planning, executing, reporting and supporting of internal and external audits;
Maintain the Audit Actions Register and track and manage corrective action closure;
Ensuring systems are in place that allows the required specification to be clearly agreed and delivered with customers, customers' technical representatives, project, sub-contractor supply chain;
Ensure that the Business Management System is understood within the respective DU;
Provide input and support the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance based on "Right First Time" delivery;
Review, measure and advise on Quality KPIs throughout the DU;
Support the implementation and management of BIM 360 Field;
Drive continuous improvement;
Ensure competency levels are reached and maintained across the DU;
Supporting the delivery of Project and Business Stream quality programs and actions;
Coaching quality skills on the project;
Introduce root cause and corrective action programmes across the DU;
Supporting establishment of continuous improvement culture;
Drive and support a "Right First Time" approach;
Support and advise on Client Satisfaction scoring;
Support "Cost of Quality" initiatives.
Who We're looking for
The following qualities and experience are required:
The ability to provide leadership;
Build strong relationships with delivery teams, project managers and senior managers;
Practical experience in quality management in construction or manufacturing;
Demonstrate an understanding of ISO9001:2015;
The ability to coach and develop staff in key quality management skills and support the quality management framework & KPI measurement;
Demonstrated an understanding of Root Cause Analysis, 8D and other problem solving processes;
A formal qualification in Quality Management e.g. Diploma in Quality Management (UK Chartered Quality Institute, British Standards Institute or equivalent);
Preferably trained ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and/or Internal Auditor;
Either a CQI Practitioner, Member or working towards membership;
Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
