Job Title; Inventory Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Shift: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 1:00pm
Location: Leicester
Our client, a leading engineering company based in Leicester are seeking an Inventory Manager to join their established team. Key functions of the role will be to develop the Supply Chain team whilst driving KPIs and focusing on strategies to support business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is experienced in manufacturing, management and adopts a 'Hands on Approach'.
The Inventory Manager Role;
* Monitor and control the Health and Safety requirements of the working area in accordance with company policy and procedures
* Ensure compliance with quality standards to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and standard of products are maintained
* Support the Operations and Supply Chain Director in pursuing business objectives including development and execution of Inventory strategies
* Provide management and direction to the Inventory team, ensure staff are conforming to policies and directives necessary in their daily tasks
* Provide weekly sales, dock and arrear expectations with noted actions in order to achieve
* Ensure Inventory team release work to the shop floor in line with customer / TOC requirements
* Manage the sequence of work carried out by the sub-contract suppliers
* Ensure stock count requirements are performed as required and stock accuracy is maintained to the highest levels at all times
* Ensure ERP planning parameters, such as item min, max and multi are maintained to enable efficient manufacturing
* Devise, implement and maintain appropriate monitoring procedures to validate staff activity
* Relationship building and liaison with internal/external customers, as required
* Develop a culture that supports process management and continuous improvement in alignment with company strategy
* Work actively with HR to attract, develop, retain and motivate staff and build and maintain a strong and effective team
* Talent management skills and abilities to identify and develop key talent and a strategically focused workforce within the manufacturing organisation
* Assist with ensuring compliance with division and corporate directives and the PCC Code of Conduct and Sarbanes and Oxley (SOX)
Our Ideal Inventory Manager Candidate;
* Management experience within a manufacturing environment
* Experience of working in a high volume, manufacturing environment, preferably in a machining environment or similar
* Degree or equivalent in a related discipline
* Commercial and business acumen with experience of management
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and guide multiple teams
* Proficient in all Microsoft packages and use of various ERP systems
