Our client are the world leader in the manufacture of Industrial LED Lighting Solutions for a wide range of markets. Over the past 90 years our client have revolutionised the LED market with new innovative products, exceptional customer service and genuinely having a product they are proud of.

With exponential growth and new markets and products on the horizon they are looking to grow their Engineering team based in London, the role is for an Electrical Engineer reporting into the EMEA Engineering Manager.

As a member of the technical team for LED Industrial Lighting Products, you will initially be working on a number of immediate projects undertaking Electrical work, the jobholder will also understand the strategic technological regional needs and provide regional input to the NPD strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Design reviews - block diagrams, schematics, circuit analysis and BOM (Bill of Materials)
Prepare and test samples for different stages of product development - from design concept to agency certifications
Perform EMC testing
Work with product development team to obtain relevant certifications for LED lighting products
Prepare test plans for different stages of product development, including reliability & manufacturing testing
Prepare superior quality electrical construction documents including drawings, specifications and reports
Find, test, validate and implement alternate components
Test & troubleshoot analog electronics for power supply and embedded communications circuits
Test & troubleshoot power supplies
Troubleshoot digital electronics and communication electronics down to chip level

Required Skills & Experience:

Ideally a degree in Electrical Engineering or significant, proven experience in the relevant field
Strong, working knowledge of electronics de4sign
Experience of Altium Design Software
Experience with CE standards for EMC and safety
Experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
Capable of troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
