What will this role of Production Operator entail?
As a Production Operator, you'll operate all systems, processes, machinery and equipment in the Production department to ensure products are delivered to the customer at the desired levels of quality.
You'll use and develop the provided tools, namely Operating Procedures, Centre lining, Equipment Operating Manuals and Process Fault Trees. Your duties will also include but not be limited to:
* Performing daily machine inspections
* Recording downtime and lost production on spreadsheets
* Operating mobile equipment, including forklift trucks
Health and safety in the workplace is extremely important at Northwood, and it is therefore crucial that our processes and procedures are followed rigidly and that any issues or hazardous conditions are identified and reported immediately.
What will I need to be considered for this Production Operator vacancy?
* Proven experience gained within either a warehouse, manufacturing, processing or similar environment
* Passionate about Health and Safety
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
* Basic IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

What will I receive in return?
As a Production Operator you'll receive a salary of circa £19,000, level dependent on experience, plus overtime.

Hours of Work: 39 hours per week. Working either a mixture of day and afternoon shifts: Day shifts: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm (7:30am to 3pm on Fridays). Afternoon shifts: Monday to Thursday 4pm to 12:30am (3pm to 10:30pm on Fridays).
Alternatively, you can choose Permanent Night shifts: Monday to Friday 12:30am to 7:30am
