Business Development Manager - Modular Construction, Salary: Up to c£45k + Car, Uncapped Commission, Contributory pension. Based out of a regional office covering the South of England though some national travel may be required.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to work for one of the UK's largest modular construction companies. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Business Development Manager / Regional Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager capacity for a construction main contractor, modular contractor, a value building systems manufacturer or similar.

The purpose of the role is to identify, bid and/or negotiate new business opportunities for modular rental and sales projects, from both existing and new client's and industry sectors, primarily health and education but also to include retail, infrastructure, utilities and construction tier 1 contractors.

Business Development Manager Key Duties;

To develop and maintain relationships with all health and education authorities and hospital estates departments; within the defined territory to ensure advance knowledge of pending projects.
To develop relationships with key construction consultancies and main / tier 1 contractors operating in the health and education sector.
To identify through research, intelligence and relationships opportunities for the company product streams of Modular rental and sales projects.
Work with the Business Development Director and Sales Team Leader to develop strategies for converting opportunities into workload and work with the estimating teams within the business to ensure the efficient submission of quotations.
Develop a pipeline of Modular Sales opportunities in the private sector/commercial sectors and strategies for converting
Maintain a record of all activity on the company CRM system and complete monthly and ad hoc reports as required.
Meet and where possible exceed sales targets.
Researching, monitoring and communicating status of competitive market landscape; and maintaining up-to-date market knowledge of both competitors and potential client requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience in a Business Development Manager / Regional Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager capacity for a construction main contractor, modular contractor, a value building systems manufacturer or similar
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry with a track record of success selling capital projects.
Knowledge of the healthcare and education sectors desireable
