SALARY: £42,000 - £47,000 pro rata (including London weighting) + Generous Benefits
JOB TYPE: Fixed-Term Contract until March 2020
WORKING HOURS: Full-Time, 37 Hours per Week
The National Lottery Family has a fantastic new job opportunity for a Public Relations (PR) / Communications / Marketing Programme Manager with excellent organisational and campaign management skills.
Working as the Public Relations (PR) / Communications / Marketing Programme Manager you will coordinate and help deliver a public-facing programme of activity to celebrate the 25th birthday of The National Lottery in 2019.
National Lottery players have raised more than £39 billion for good causes, and made over 5,000 lucky winners millionaires since 1994. We are seeking a Public Relations (PR) / Communications / Marketing Programme Manager to help ensure the celebrations in 2019 reach as many people as possible as we tell the story of the extraordinary contribution of The National Lottery to life in the UK over the last 25 years.
As the Public Relations (PR) / Communications / Marketing Programme Manager you will report into the NLPU Director and work alongside colleagues from across the National Lottery family to create widespread excitement and a sense of public ownership about the ongoing contribution of The National Lottery both now and in the future.
You will manage all aspects of an ongoing programme, from its development to implementing programme activities. You will ensure that the programme of the 25th National Lottery birthday is completed to a consistently high standard that objectives are delivered on time and within budget, and are matched to the One National Lottery communication brand style and overall objectives.
You will coordinate planning and delivery of the celebrations, including ensuring that activities across the different organisations within the National Lottery Family are complementary and build towards the anniversary in November 2019. Celebrations will be UK-wide and also have a local focus.
Additionally, a dynamic approach to relationship management will be essential in order to influence stakeholders across the complex National Lottery Family - comprising the 12 National Lottery Distributors, Camelot, DCMS, and the Gambling Commission.
This is a fixed term position to be located within the National Lottery Promotions Unit for immediate start until March 2020.
Each week, the National Lottery changes the lives of ordinary people through the £30 million it raises every week for good causes all across the UK. National Lottery players help build local communities, power sports teams, protect the environment, unleash creative talent, look after the elderly and unlock youthful potential. In addition, support from the National Lottery wins Olympic medals and Oscars but despite this success, public awareness of the range and extent of National Lottery funding to good causes remains low.
The National Lottery Promotions Unit (NLPU) raises positive public awareness of National Lottery funding, thereby contributing to the overall brand health of The National Lottery.
Through a series of campaigns and initiatives, the NLPU brings to life the purpose of the National Lottery and showcases the extraordinary impact Good Causes funding has across the UK. Working through traditional and digital media, it is our aim to make National Lottery players aware of, and thank them for, the thousands of incredible projects across the UK and in their local communities.
The NLPU is a joint venture between Camelot UK Lotteries, Lottery distributors and the Department for Culture, Media & Sport.
