League Overview: The Rockford Rivets are part of the summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. The 25-year-old summer collegiate league is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. Job Summary: The Webcast internship provides hands-on experience in a collegiate baseball webcast production. Must be a current student (undergraduate or graduate), eligible to receive college credit for internship. Must be comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization as well as outside contacts. Strong time management, organization and attention to details are essential. This is a non-paid, for college credit position. Requires the ability to work all 36 home games, including nights and weekends. Reports to: General Manager Duties/Expectations include but are not limited to the following: Assisting with the set-up and tear down of cameras and webcast equipment on a daily basis. On game days, interns will rotate duties between the Webcast Producer, Webcast Director, and one of three Camera Operator. Interns will be responsible for the following duties including: operating and maintaining equipment (cameras, switchers, audio/sound equipment), use proper video production terminology to help communicate with the other webcast interns, learn to work as part of a crew to produce a live webcast product, and working with the broadcaster to produce press releases. The webcast team will send highlights and interviews to local media outlets on a nightly basis. On non-game days, Webcast Interns will collaborate with Marketing Interns to film commercials for the website, webcast, and social media. Must be enrolled in a Mass Communications, Radio, TV, or Film major. Must be available for training with the video production manager on select Saturdays in April and May. Must be available for all home games. Performance Standards:
