A National sales manager is required for a leading manufacturing company based in the UK. The role is specialising within the robot welding industry, and requires a dynamic, technically solid sales manager to join the business. The role is a mixture of home based, field based as well as time spent at head office. Salary on offer is up to £55K for the right person, plus a company vehicle, company brand training and other benefits.

The Company

A global OEM of welding equipment, they operate not only in Europe, but also in North & South America, Middle East and Asia too. UK based operation has a setup of over 50 staff including service engineers, technical support and applications engineers, sales engineers, and management to head up the day to day operation. Very strong operation, low turnover of staff and have a family run business approach with all staff from the ground up.

The role

Expectations of the robot welding sales manager include -

* To grow and develop key clients within the automated welding sector
* Selling of automated welding solutions to Tier 1 businesses across a wide range of sectors
* Excellent organisation skills with the ability to self-manage & quickly assess priorities
* Strong communication skills including public speaking, large group presentations & discussions
* Ability to influence major stakeholders both internal & external
* Risk and project management skills
* Create technical quotations & conclude price negotiations
* Manage customer data in CRM data base and utilise analytics in pursing sales avenues
* Able to confidently convey product benefits & cost advantages to customers
* Confidence in creating technical & sales proposals
* Hosting high profile customer demonstrations and open day event
* Delivering powerpoint & other Microsoft products to create compelling customer presentations

The suitable candidate

The suitable sales manager will have the following demonstrable skills -

* Excellent customer relationship management
* Proven sales background working with tier one businesses to develop new or lapsed clients
* Robotic welding application, PLC controls & programming experience
* Specific welding experience to include: TIG Plasma, MIG / MAG laser-hybrid, Resistance welding certifications
* Able to use a CRM system to log all all activity
* Experience with putting proposals together and delivering presentations to customers
* Confidence in creating technical & sales proposals

The role will be home based, with regular travel to client sites all over the UK, and also potential travel to head office when required for training.

Package on offer

Basic salary of Circa £55K for the right person

28 days holiday including bank holidays, with 1 day per year increase to 33 days
