Graphtec (GB) Ltd is the sole UK distributor for Graphtec Corporation - the internationally recognised manufacturer of computer related input/output devices and recording instruments, and world market leader in recorders, plotters, cutting devices and digital printers. Hundreds of employees make up the world-wide network, with sales in excess of £50 million. Soon to be celebrating their 70th Anniversary in 2019, Graphtec Corporation is listed on section 1 of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Graphtec Corporation's parent company AI Holdings have recently acquired NBS Technologies, who for over 40 years have remained a leading developer and provider of security card printers and encoders. Historically focusing on the export market, the business is now looking to develop on the domestic front and build a UK sales network.
What will this role of Business Development Executive entail?
As a Business Development Executive, you will initially inherit some existing customer accounts that will require your knack for great customer service to maintain and develop the relationship they have with NBS, predominantly over the phone but occasionally through face to face meetings and catch ups.
As your product knowledge grows, with the support of the Sales Manager you'll build and maintain a dealer / reseller network throughout the UK from which to promote NBS products to your contacts. To bolster your network, you'll have the opportunity to regularly attend trade shows and training days to really make your mark on what is a new market for Graphtec.
This role is all about building quality long-lasting business relationships and is not about slick one-off sales. Dealer / reseller sales are incredibly relationship-driven, which is why your personality, resilience and flexibility are key to success. At most you'll be dealing with no more than 30 to 40 customers, which will provide you with plenty of time to get and stay in touch with your clients.
