HR Business Partner

Salary: £45K per annum plus bonus, car and other benefits
Location: South West London
Our client, a well-established organisation within the distribution of building products, is currently on the lookout for a strategic but hands on Senior HR Business Partner, to join them on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created role with overall responsibility for managing the HR function, delivering a proactive commercial HR service, managing and improving the business capability and harnessing employee engagement to deliver value and growth.
This role is a crucial part of the leadership team and you will hold responsibility for the organisation's employee value proposition and the People Plan. You will work with managers and directors to ensure that enough of the right people are in post and that they have the learning and development necessary to deliver demanding goals in line with growth strategy. You will be part of the team that is driving continuous improvement and value.
The three-year plan will also require a number of key projects to be delivered successfully including developing robust contracts of employment, supporting business redesign and restructuring, delivering a learning needs analysis and associated learning plans and conducting a recruitment campaign.
To be successful in this position you will have/be:
Proven experience as a HR Business Partner, ready to work at a senior HRBP level. You need be strategic but also not averse to rolling your sleeves up and getting involved.
The ability to partner with senior managers and directors and make things happen
Ideally from a retail background, in order to understand the set up and the way a transactional multi-site business operates.
Solid experience with staff retention, looking at development and training and making sure the organisation is providing a suitable business environment for people to work in.
A wide range of HR skills across the entire employee life-cycle, in particular employee engagement.
Commercially minded, with the ability to manage a HR budget.
CIPD Level 5 qualified
Forward thinking, looking ahead into the future and pushing development and capability of the business as well as the people in it.
Experience of creating and delivering a people plan
Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and analysing data
Highly IT Literate
