Responsibilities

We're seeking an Assistant Aquatics Manager to join our team. As our new Assistant Aquatics Manager you will:
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and supervising all groups of staff mentioned above
  • Assist in new staff member orientation, staff training, and performance reviews
  • Act as pool manager on duty in the absence of Aquatics Manager
  • Create schedule for Lifeguard, Swim Instructor and Aquatics Service Desk Staff
  • Assist Aquatics Desk staff with organization, customer service and establishing best practices for the administrative side of all our programs
  • Assist with keeping members and all OFJCC staff informed of changes to the pool schedule, temperature changes and more
  • Schedule additional staff needed for special events
  • Highly focused on customer service on improving the overall efficiency of the aquatics programs
  • Take all necessary steps to solve member problems, complaints and concerns
  • Other tasks as assigned


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year of supervisory experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of teaching progressions for children and adults
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to relate to diverse populations
  • Enthusiastic, responsible and team-oriented
  • Current Red Cross certification (AED, CPR, First Aid, Coaches Water Safety & Lifeguard Instructor)
  • 2 years or more experience in Aquatics


Physical Requirements:

  • Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Frequent walking and demonstrating and assisting with exercise movements; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily
  • Ability to be in water for long periods during the day
