The Assistant Chief Engineer is a hands-on role that requires the ability to manage projects and a team, problem solve and remain in compliance with FCC rules and regulations. It is your responsibility to maintain, repair, install, operate and support complex media communication systems, networks, uplink transmitters, antennas, etc.. You must have the ability to coordinate and execute projects between various departments and work with the Engineering team and alongside the VP of Engineer. About You
Performance: You are a seasoned live sports Broadcasting Engineer that brings forth a minimum of 10 years of experience and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or other related advanced technical degree Flexible and Adaptable: You are willing to take on new challenges and creative problem solve! You do whatever it takes to get the job done, 24/7, 365, and stay up-to-date on industry standards Solution-Oriented: You are quick on your feet when solving problems and are able to troubleshoot, repair and conduct maintenance as needed with internal groups and outside vendors Experience with different standards of 4K and video over IP including SMPTE 2110 You have the following certifications: CCNA, FCC License and/or SBE Certification at the CBTE level You have experience with the following technologies: test, monitoring and measurements systems and tools, Cisco PowerVu compression platforms, MPEG 4, MPEG 2, HEVC, JPEG 2K, HDXDCAM, MXF, AES, Dante, RF, fiber transmission using ASI, JPEG 2K, HDSDI, IP, bonded cellular technologies, etc… You have knowledge of the following: HVAC, UPS, generators, construction and electrical equipment, terrestrial, C, Ku, and Ka Band as well as Antenna and sub systems As Assistant Chief Engineer you are confident managing a team, budgets and deadlines Comfortable working in varying conditions, sitting and/or standing for periods of time and are able to carry, life and install up to 75 pounds of equipment at any given time Who We Are
