My client was formed in 1985 and have over thirty years experience in providing tailored support services to suit the needs and budget of their clients across the Thames Valley, London and the wider south east of England. They provide cleaning, manned guarding and building maintenance services. As part of the next stage of their development I am currently on their behalf looking for a Business Development Manager. Of particular interest for this role would be candidates with an excellent track record of sales success within the soft FM and cleaning sector, knowledge of manned security and buildings maintenance would be great. An essential skill is the ability to generate new business within the London and Home Counties area. The sales revenue target is likely to be in the £1.5m-£2m bracket.

Day to day duties

* Self-generating leads by means of cold calling, networking and P.Q. (there is sales support)

* Achieving agreed sales targets in line with the strategic guidelines set out by the Sales and Marketing Manager and the MD

* Actively promoting services to the identified and selectively targeted audience

* Conducting necessary market research and analysis

* Preparing proposals, contracts, specs and other sales docs

* Carrying out face-to-face proposals and presentations with potential clients

* Being the face of the client to all potential clients

Candidate requirements

* At least one years experience sales experience in FM or Soft services is desirable, however candidates with similar experience will also be considered

* A self starting go-getter

* A personable and professional individual

* Proven track record of achieving sales targets

* Own network of potential clients and contacts

* Commitment and positive attitude

* Excellent IT skills

* A full clean driving license is desirable

Basic salary £35k-£45k, uncapped commission, company car, private medical scheme, sick pay scheme, phone, laptop and 23 days holiday to commence with.
