The 1st Vice President of Hospitality is responsible for the day-to-day activities of CIM managed hotels. This requires collaborative oversight of the near and midterm planning with the individual property managers to ensure compliance with CIM standards as well as the individual brand standards and operating objectives set for the properties. The VP Hotel Group will also serve in a similar capacity with CIM owned and third-party managed hotels to the extent allowable under the particular HMAs.. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:. Ensure the goals, objectives, strategies and actions are clearly defined for each individual hotel and that they are aligned with the approved CIM Hotel Group and CIM Investment targets. These are to be set annually with monthly reviews to measure performance and where necessary, adjust the strategies and actions.. Provide ongoing review and investigation into opportunities to create added value to existing hotel assets, including but not limited to revenue development and, assessment of operational effectiveness.. Collaborate with Investment & Development teams to provide industry information and leadership in the investment review process related to Hotel assets. Oversee the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to ensure it is on time and accurate and that they being used as effective tools for the property as well as for ownership.. Development of the annual operating budget and business plan review for each hotel asset. Initiate and execute regular review of hotel expenses and revenues and present recommendations for improvements.. Responsible for thorough review and compilation of monthly financial reports for distribution to the investment team and CIM principles.. Prepare assessment communications to the senior executives of CIM as well as potential investors or partners.. Responsible for the preparation, review and assessment of business strategy assumptions and plans. Prepare, review and assess business strategy assumptions and plans using sound economic judgment and insight. Keep abreast of new competitive facilities or assets and other competitive developments within CIMs market space and communicate same to the corporate teams. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:. Bachelors Degree, in hotel management or other business related discipline.. Minimum 10 years experience in leadership role(s) involving hotel management, hotel revenue management, hotel development and/or hotel asset management..
