As a Director, HRBP, you must be able to straddle both the strategic and tactical worlds as we grow as a company. With your strategic view, you will consult with your clients on organizational, team, cultural, change management and leadership development issues. You will develop and execute a talent strategy that is aligned with the business strategy, while also collaborating to develop and implement effective HR programs. On the tactical side, you will be expected to improve HR processes as well as manage employee relations issues while balancing the employee s needs with those of the manager and the company. Your strong influencing and communication skills will help you meet the challenges and complexities of our fast growing environment!!! RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES: Provide HR and organizational effectiveness consultation in alignment with business goals * Assess and provide leadership development programs and interventions across the business team * Develop and implement HR programs and initiatives that align to business strategy * Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning * Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention * Analyze trends and metrics in the development of solutions, programs and policies * Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations * Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to- day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required * Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) * Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met. * Act as program manager for cross Cloudera HR initiatives EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE 7-10 years in increasingly complex HR Business Partner roles * Proven track record of identifying and developing interventions that have contributed to the success of a business * Strong consulting skills * Demonstrated ability to manage executive relationships, even in challenging situations * Experience managing and resolving complex employee relation issues. * Demonstrated ability to design and implement and cross organizational project * Competency across multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, employment law, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws * Excellent communication and influencing skills * Proven ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations that can be implemented Cloudera is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
