Teaching assignments will focus on instruction in general biology courses and laboratories for the majors at the associate and baccalaureate levels. Teaching assignment may also include upper-level courses in an area of expertise such as molecular and cellular biology, microbiology, genomics, ecology and biotechniques, as well as guiding students in professional internships and student research projects. Additional duties within the Department of Physical and Life Sciences will include student advisement, student recruitment, curriculum/course development, and college/department service.
PhD in Biological Sciences or related field required. Teaching experience is required. A diverse background, including practical experience in the disciplines of cellular and molecular biology is highly preferable.
