Day Based role 4 days on, 4 days off
My Client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers within its field of injection mould based products and associated processes. The group is a well established producer to the global markets. The site in Oxford is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this secure medical organisation. The site is massive, roughly the size of 8-10 football pitches. They have 2 sites within the UK and 3 Mould sites within Oxford.
Apprentice Trained in Engineering
Experience in Press Tooling/Plastic Injection Moulding
Experience with Lathes/Grinders/Millers
Multi-tasking and be able leave a job , start another task and then come back to previous task.
My client is looking for an apprentice trained tooling engineer to work in the tooling department on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. You will need to be apprentice trained, someone who has worked in the plastics industry ideally, but will look at other related backgrounds. The successful candidate will have good tool room practices such as milling, lathes, grinding and the understanding of CNC & CAD/CAM Machinery. Day to day duties will include servicing and maintenance of roughly 200 tools a months. Full strip down, inspection and cleaning. The main electrical components you will be working on are sensors, laser sensing, simple circuits and single phasse machinary.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a secure forward thinking group, with excellent scope for technical career development.
The Company is very active with training, they run training courses every year. Training courses such as Electrical, process and optimisation and put everyone on a Fork lift course.
