Electronic Assembly Staff

£9.50 to £10 per hour
I am representing a large design, engineering/manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts in St Neots, Cambridge and I have opportunities for Electronic Assembly people with experience in this field.
This role will provide a timely, efficient and quality driven assembly including; electronic PTH, hand place Surface Mount, mechanical assembly, conformal coating, labelling and dispatch.
Duties for the Electronic Assembly positions will include:
-Interpret and apply all drawings, instructions and documentation related to the manufacturing of electronic products
-Assemble, solder and wire all PCB assemblies and units to IPC-JSTD-001 and relevant modules
-Ensure inbuilt quality by following routers and inspecting own workmanship
-Have a keen eye for detail and look for opportunities for continuous improvement; working to best practice
-Conformal coat and apply adhesives to product as specified in manufacturing drawings
-Proactively assist the Production Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the department and raise any issues in a timely manner
-Assist colleagues where required
-To undergo training to remain IPC certified
Experience required for the Electronic Assembly positions will include:
-Ability to interpret complex technical drawings is essential
-Surface mount soldering experience would be an advantage
-Experience of working to class 3 on Power boards or aerospace products would be an advantage
-2 Years PTH soldering experience would also be an advantage
The hours are 39 per week, Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm (30 minute lunch break) and Friday 8am to 1pm, and due to the location you will need to have your own transport.
