FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:A complete list of demands for this position will be provided by Human Resources. *Chief Nursing Officer/Smaller hospital +-100 beds PLEASE NOTE: MUST be making transition from a similar sized acute care hospitals and must have good work history and stability. Nursing management is performing leadership functions of governance and decision-making within organizations employing nurses. It includes processes common to all management like planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling. Chief nursing officers are charged with ensuring that patient-care, clinical and staffing standards are met. They advise senior management on best practices in nursing and patient care, work with healthcare leaders to establish compensation and benefit programs for nurses, and are involved in nurse recruitment, training and retention. CNOs may also develop patient-care programs, manage nursing budgets, plan new patient services, establish nursing policies and procedures, participate in cross-departmental decision making, conduct performance improvement activities and represent nursing services at board of director meetings. They often manage multiple departments of an organization and report directly to the chief executive officer or executive director CNO experience in acute care setting ( at least 2 years)Cardiology and Orthopedics experience preferred, 2+ year in acute care setting CNO experience EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:* EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Bachelor's min, Master's preferred; reports to CEO; responsible for strategic, financial, physician recruiting and operational management of the medical group to include effective management of clinical quality systems, human resources, financial management, strategic planning, and environmental management; performs business development and marketing functions for the medical group and physician practices sustaining the operational success of multiple physician practice and ambulatory locations within the service area and market while remaining in compliance with all regulatory bodies; FOR IMMEDIATE REVIEW AND CONSIDERATION HCN Healthcare affiliated hospitals and freestanding surgery centers will offer full time and permanent opportunities with competitive salaries and benefits.
