The Business Department seeks a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, based on sport management coursework and/or experience, beginning August, 2019. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate sport management courses, advising students, maintaining COSMA accreditation, and conducting course assessment. Involvement in college governance and committee work is expected, as well as institutional development. This is a teaching position. A typical teaching load for this position is 15 credit hours per semester.

Job Requirements:

Ph.D. or DBA in Sport Management or closely related field highly preferred. Individuals with a master's degree and significant experience will be considered. Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills are required.

Teaching or training experience and relevant sport industry experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have experience with advising undergraduate students and program accreditation and assessment.

High value is placed on a team player who brings a variety of teaching interests and demonstrates knowledge of innovative learning technologies and program delivery. A desire to work at a small, residential college is essential.

The opportunity to serve in a department leadership capacity exists for qualified individuals with prior academic management experience.
