Legal s Office of The General Counsel establishes and executes the department s objectives by driving and supporting management department-wide initiatives and providing services and tools to members of the department. Legal Learning Specialist Job Description The Legal Learning team, part of the Office of the General Counsel, designs, develops and delivers innovative and custom learning and technology training solutions to the members of the Legal Department. The Legal Learning Specialist reports to the Head of Legal Learning and is responsible for owning and managing the Legal Learning organization s agenda across the department globally. This individual will support the Head of Legal Learning and the Legal Learning team as well as the business to ensure the smooth and successful execution of the strategic agenda, communication plan and execution of all projects. Key Responsibilities: * A thought and leadership partner to the Head of Legal Learning, who provides oversight, guidance and direction for all programs globally and engages strategically on a global basis with Legal management to design and drive success of the team * Keeps informed of and drives all L&D projects and initiatives and serves as a support to the team, filling in when needed * Identifies opportunities for delivering and reinforcing key strategic messages, priorities, culture and core competencies * Writes, designs and oversees creation for all development and programs * Identify needs, roadblocks and opportunities within the team and work with the Head of Legal Learning to ensure team members are supported, inspired and clear on priorities * Manages special projects as needed by the Head of Legal Learning * Collaborates to execute the day-to-day planning and execution of the Legal Learning Strategy and projects * Manages project plans, coordinating work across all projects and maintain strategic alignment between programs * Coordinates projects and their interdependencies * Leads programs to successful completion and designs and executes with team all surveys * Creates innovative ways for Legal Learning to maximize learning across the department; integrate the needs of and support LOBs while maintaining Legal Learning s overall strategic commitments * Utilizes resources across projects * Manages program documentation * Monitors and reports on progress of all projects. * Oversees global committee relationships and programs from end-to-end * Plans, governs, oversee and trouble shoots the delivery of all aspects of projects * Create and delivers in partnership with communication team a communication plan across all programs * Oversees measurement of all programs as well as monthly and quarterly scorecard reporting * Oversees maintenance and organization of electronic files on iManage and project sharepoint * Engages and manages relationships with all constituents across the department Qualifications of Successful Candidates: * Leadership skills including influencing, motivating and supporting a tea * Track record of organizational leadership including organizing teams, work streams, goals, priorities & projects to accomplish a larger goal * Exceptional project management skills with meticulous attention to detail, timing, deadlines and organization * Strong ability to think strategically & help plan projects & work streams toward achieving goals, especially in the realm of Learning and Development * High degree of flexibility * Must be proactive- including escalating issues and proposing solutions * Ownership of quality product and product delivery * Ability to work independently and on a fast-paced collaborative team * Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities * Driven, enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude * Superior interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills and willingness to seamlessly back-up team members on the fly * Strong written and oral communication skills * Strong track record of successful relationship building * Comfort speaking to large and small groups of senior stakeholders * Ability to manage stressful situations * Flexibility in work hours as required by training programs * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: * Excel - proficiency with formulas (vlookup), pivot tables, filters, charts etc. * Word - proficiency with mail merge, formatting and templates * PowerPoint - proficiency creating and editing presentations with graphics, tables, and charts * Familiarity with financial services industry and/or the legal industry a plus * Familiarity with organizing and managing cross functional projects * All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment
