£30,671 - £36,084 per annum Plus Excellent Benefits
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We are now looking for a Learning and Development Lead to join our team on a one year fixed-term contract.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified L&D professional to support the design and delivery of key People Development interventions throughout RNLI. Although not limited to this, the role has an emphasis on manager and leadership development. It would be ideally suited, therefore, to an individual who has had experience in both designing and delivering manager and leadership development solutions.
You will be working very closely, supporting the People Development Manager on all matters relating to the L&D profile throughout the charity including working closely with key stakeholders such as HR Business Partners and senior leaders, as well as the OD, Internal Comms and Change teams.
We are looking for a talented professional who is able to apply their subject matter expertise through the diagnostics, planning, execution and evaluation of projects taking into consideration return on investment whilst demonstrating adding real value.
To be considered, you will need:
- Broad experience in a learning and development role, focusing on management and leadership development, including the design, delivery and evaluation for development programmes and packages
- To have, or be working towards, a recognised learning and development qualification, such as CIPD Level 5
- A formal coaching qualification and/or BPS/psychometric qualifications
- A degree level qualification
As the Learning and Development Lead, you'll have a 'can do' attitude with the ability to motivate, inspire and engage with colleagues and stakeholders internally and externally. You will be comfortable in communicating with and influencing stakeholders in a wide variety of environments.
Up-to-date awareness of Learning and Development practices, as well as Leadership principles, will be key to help design innovative solutions, and provide relevant business focused advice, guidance, resources and expertise.
The closing date for applications is the 9th January 2019, with interviews scheduled to be held on the 17th January 2019.
Our staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years. We respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within our teams, and consider it essential to help us deliver a world-class lifesaving service. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, we also look for applicants who share our commitment to living our RNLI values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping us work towards our goals of halving drowning in the UK and Ireland by 2024. This involves a growing commitment to preventative action, using our expertise to work in partnership with communities locally, nationally and internationally to prevent drowning.
