Resource Business Partner - Viridor
Location: Flexible but must be available to work from Taunton as required.
Salary - Dependent on Experience
At Viridor, we're one of the UK's leading recycling, renewable energy and waste management companies and part of the FTSE 250 Pennon Group. We put waste into action, transforming it into high quality recyclables, raw materials and energy and are at the forefront of the UK's green economy. Fast growing and investing over £1.2bn in the development of a network of advanced Energy Recovery Facilities across the UK, we're reducing the reliance on landfill or exporting waste for treatment whilst becoming a revenue generating business.
As part of our overall HR and recruitment strategy we are looking to build a Centre of Excellence Recruitment function to fully support our business in their recruitment and resourcing needs.
We are looking for a Resource Business Partner to join us, working alongside the other members of the Recruitment Team, HR Business Partners and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, maximising strategic approach and delivery. You'll also support implementation of recruitment strategies across the business where required and as laid out by the Group Recruitment Manager and Head of HR Operations.
As our Resource Business Partner, you'll have demonstrable strong relationship building, communication, influence and persuasion skills as these are key to effectively and sensitively delivering strategic objectives, building the credibility of the function further and supporting our stakeholders, providing accurate and consultative guidance at all times.
Our new Resource Business Partner will have a breadth of recruitment experience, either in in-house recruitment functions or agency, or both, and preferably within a larger organisation with complex requirements, delivering a wide range of recruitment strategies. You will have knowledge and understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle, resourcing principles, compliance, employment legislation and best practice. Wider knowledge of HR procedures would be advantageous.
Adaptability is also key in this role as our business requirements can develop swiftly. You must have extensive experience liaising with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally, successfully building and maintaining those relationships to assist your effectiveness and build the reputation of the function further.
A background in the waste management industry would be desirable but not essential, however, knowledge and understanding of a wide range of disciplines such as engineering, head office and commercial would be required.
The base location of this role can be flexible; however, you will be required to be in Taunton frequently and wider UK travel will be part of the role. Therefore, a driving license is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing business and be a part of how we're shaping the future.
