An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and caring SEND TA / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant in an outstanding school In Liverpool.

The students have various abilities; from Autism, MLD / Moderate Learning Difficulties and more complex and profound needs. The post requires a warm and talented SEND TA / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant who is dedicated to supporting children.

All applicants must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and will be, ideally, trained to NVQ Level 3.

Due to the nature of the students attending the school the role will require someone who is confident with personal care.

You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment with the ability to take your own initiative and to be able build a good rapport with the teacher and children.

The role will include:

Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
Work with students who require additional support
Leading group work
Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
