Year 2 Class Teacher

A primary school in Islington are seeking a full-time Year 2 Teacher to start in January 2019, for the remainder of the academic year. Competitive salary available in line with experience (MPS 1-4 Inner London - £29,663 - £34,547). Permanent position available in September 2019 for the right candidate.
The Headteacher and governors of this vibrant and diverse Ofsted graded 'Good' school near to Angel are seeking to appoint an outstanding class teacher to start with them in January 2019.

The responsibilities for this Year 2 Class Teacher role will include:
•Plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning to secure the highest possible levels of attainment for all children
•Set high expectations for all children at the school
•Evaluate pupil performance and identify priorities for continuous improvement
•Encourage the involvement of parents and carers
•Create a learning environment that is engaging, happy and fulfilling for all children
•Demonstrate a commitment to your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and supporting the development of others.
The ideal candidate for this Year 2 Class Teacher role will:
•1-2 years post-qualification teaching experience in a primary setting
•Recent experience of teaching Key Stage 1 children
•Evidence of outstanding teaching and learning and how this has been evaluated
•Ability to develop creative and innovate strategies for performance improvement
•Evidence of robust planning and delivery of relevant schemes of work to show what engages children and enables them to make excellent progress

•Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
•This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
