About the Role

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in our team where you will deliver projects and operational support. You will take ownership of projects to deliver high-performing, robust and innovative solutions. You will provide troubleshooting support for escalations to ensure a successful resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Providing expertise to architecture teams and management to help make decisions and set priorities for our network environment
  • Collaborating with external suppliers and vendors to create and develop opportunities for automation, network monitoring, reporting and analysis
  • Creating and implementing low-level designs to align with architecture principles and standards
  • Identifying areas for innovation and optimisation by driving Continual Service Improvements through automation, monitoring, reporting and analysis
  • Supporting designs and implementations by troubleshooting issues efficiently and communicating escalations and outcomes to teams and customers
  • Coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that any service releases are documented through the Change Management Process

Key Requirements for the Network Engineer:

  • Have good experience with network operations and project delivery
  • Have excellent written skills and the ability to create technical documentation including detailed design, implementation and test plans
  • Have good experience of supporting global WAN's and regional office LAN's and demonstrate knowledge of Cisco Networking, routing and BGP, OSPF
  • Have a good understanding of network security with knowledge of Palo Alto, Zscaler and web security products and applications
  • Have creative problem solving skills for complex network and security challenges across multiple functions and operating environments
  • Demonstrate experience in translating high-level technical architectures and service design requirements into a clear and comprehensible low-level designs
  • Have a good knowledge of wireless technologies and Meraki
  • Be keen to learn automation principals and infrastructure as code using Terraform or Python
  • Have experience in network monitoring, performance and availability management or network automation concepts
  • Be able to be part of a standby rotation to respond to availability incidents
