Cloud Support Engineer

We seek a cloud engineer to support and implement Saas in AWS public cloud. Our systems are operational 24 x 7 serving clients around the world with defined and demanding service levels. Our policies, procedures, and environments are all subject to compliance requirements, including PCI DSS level 1, which are externally audited at least annually.

This role is perfect for a candidate who is looking to really develop their skills in AWS.

Location

Hybrid - must be able to commute to Stafford office

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience supporting and deploying SaaS built on AWS
  • Engineer solutions using Infrastructure-As-A-Code methods (eg Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Have a strong desire and ability to pick up and learn new tools quickly and keep your knowledge current
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable skills:

  • AWS certifications, at associate level
  • Additional networking, VPN, Firewall configurations, Nat and Access rules

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the 24x7 on-call schedule
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
  • Provide technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • Monitor, review and resolve escalated technical support calls
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Document process and procedures in line with PCI standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fully support our products and services
