Senior Infrastructure Analyst, COMPETITIVE £'S

Technically speaking my client is looking for the below listed experience:

  • AD, Exchange, MS Server
  • Hyper-V and VMware
  • Routers, Firewalls TCP/IP
  • Antivirus
  • MFA (would be great!)
  • Mimecast (would be great!)

Responsibilities:

Systems Architecture

  • Work with other Infrastructure team members to design, implement, manage and support ICT Back End infrastructure. Infrastructure includes all Servers, server software, network architecture, WAN and telecommunications environments owned by the ICT function.
  • Contribute towards the building and maintenance of a secure and flexible infrastructure between all businesses within the Group, including head offices and regional offices.
  • Prepare schedules and replacement plans in advance for all infrastructure requirements.
  • Monitor and record server and general infrastructure life-expectancy, ensuring that all systems are appropriately maintained.

Disaster Recovery

  • Work with Information Security and Business Continuity teams to design and implement Disaster Recovery plan, and test regularly to ensure continued operations of the business in the event that the plan is invoked.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure that comprehensive system back-up and replication procedures are in place for all systems in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
  • Work with the with Information Security and Business Continuity teams in addition to the wider IT teams to ensure that the Disaster Recovery plan incorporates any business application needs.

Cyber Security

  • Ensure system architecture is built with a focus on security as the highest priority.
  • Maintain group Firewalls, antivirus systems, SIEM platform, and Network Access Control systems.
  • Ensure systems are fully monitored and issues dealt with, and work with Information Security team to ensure root cause analysis of any incident is fully investigated.

Incidents/Problems/Changes

  • Plan and prepare for any expansion and changes within the Group, ensuring that any infrastructure is scalable. Manage changes using the agreed processes and systems.
  • Work with Line Manager to establish clear guidelines for communicating and escalating critical issues to management in order to minimize business disruption due to infrastructure support issues.
  • Work with the Line Manager to document and publish group-wide IT policies and to comply with recognised governance frameworks.
  • Use the ITSM system to log and record all work activities under the guidance of Line Manager.
