We are seeking a Sustainability Manager to support the delivery of strategic sustainability objectives within JLL UK. Working as part of the Central UK Sustainability Team, this cross-functional role will focus on supporting our commercial sustainability efforts. Reporting to the UK Head of Sustainable Client Solutions, you will engage with JLL's sustainability teams, core business lines, learning and development, business development, marketing and communications teams to help drive business growth and embed sustainability into JLL's real estate advice.

The role will:

  • Work within the Central UK Sustainability Team, with exposure across the JLL UK business.
  • Work closely with internal sustainability teams to understand, support and share best practice ESG solutions.
  • Support client engagement through background research, data gathering and attending client meetings.
  • Support development and delivery of the sustainability training plan, working with UK and Global L&D colleagues to coordinate internal and external training programmes.
  • Support a network of sustainability champions to upskill and improve knowledge across JLL UK, creating platform for sustainability advocates across the business.
  • Work with communications teams to support internal and external profile of JLL's sustainability services, including a quarterly internal newsletter and podcasts.
  • Coordinate and respond to sustainability bids as well as providing sustainability related information to JLL pitches.
  • Maintain knowledge hubs to share best practice and case study database.
  • Engage and build relationships with sector organisations / industry partners.
  • Manage a graduate surveyor, during their rotation into the team for 6-12 months

About you:

An experienced sustainability professional with a passion to support the future of a sustainable real estate, you will have a deep understanding of sustainability and ESG within the built environment.

You will be an effective communicator at all levels with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines. You enjoy working within a team and contributing towards a positive team dynamic.

Required skills and experience:

  • A broad knowledge of sustainability across the ESG spectrum, with some understanding of its applicability within a real estate context.
  • 3-5 years' experience within a sustainability role, either client-facing or in-house.
  • Ability to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities and drive projects forward with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience in analytically thinking through problems, helping to solution the desirable outcome.
  • Experience of creating internal and external sustainability communication content.
  • Desire to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment, adaptable and responsive to change.
  • Excellent computer and information system skills; in particular Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
