What you will be doing

Retail and Contact Centres are both a key part of our vertically integrated business model, distributing c.30% of our in-house capacity to our customers through over 600 shops across the UK & Ireland, whilst setting the standard of service to our customers across our business.

As the Finance Manager for Retail & Contact Centres you will be the first line of support for the Director of Retail, Facilities General Manager and Retail HR teams. The primary aims of the role is to drive accuracy and cost control for the Retail estate and Contact Centre as well providing key financial information to support the strategic priorities of the business.

Your role will be responsible for the understanding and forecasting of the cost base together with the timely identification of and communication and management of risks and opportunities as they arise together with potential mitigating actions. This will require detailed knowledge of the operations and relevant contracts across both the retail and contact centre estate.

You will also be responsible for a detailed understanding of all lines making up the retail and contact centre cost base and responsible for the annual cost base 5 year plan and annual budget working with business partners to build the cost base from a bottom up approach. The role also supports the completion of the annual retail productivity budget and periodic monitoring and amendment thereafter.

A number of key strategic Retail projects are also supported by this role; IFRS16 integration, evaluation and implementation of a retail target operating model, Project Atlas). The role also includes the production and financial challenge of business cases to support investment/closure proposals.

The role has two direct reports and is responsible for managing a total cost base of c£165m, across Retail and Contact Centres


What we are looking for

• Qualified accountant with minimum 3 years PQE
• Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships at senior levels

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines
