We are excited to be working on behalf of a creative Healthcare Communications Agency who are looking for a Junior Copywriter. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved and learn from one of the industry's best writers. They train their writers to be both creative and science writers - they do not separate them out, so they work on creative concepts, digital projects, apps as well as the sales aids and more technical pieces. That way, the creative team have complete control over the brand and tone.

What they do:

The team brings together research science and consumer marketing, elite sports coaching and technology, personal training and creativity. They use their expertise in healthcare, behaviour change and physical activity to produce evidence-based solutions:

• helping support medical treatment in optimising the experience and outcomes for patients and physicians

• helping to prevent disease in the first place supporting the sustainability of healthcare provision

• helping make the workplace a well place for the benefit of employees and employers alike

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributing creative ideas and strategic suggestions in meetings and briefings with the account management team

• Studying, questioning and adhering to briefs set by account management

• Working in a close-knit creative partnership with art directors and the creative director to generate workable concepts and ideas that fit a brief

• Allowing time for copy to be reviewed/discussed with your line manager, before presenting to the account team or clients

• Delivering good, clear imaginative creative copy that's of a high grammatical standard and tonally appropriate for the audience

• Ensuring that clinical references are correct, consistent, marked up, saved on the copy server and provided to the client when requested

• Ensuring all copy is scientifically accurate and in line with ABPI guidelines

• Proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar throughout the production process

• Attending client meetings and presenting work to clients when necessary

• Adhering to and ensuring that pre-production approval systems are followed

• Answering clients' queries to the best of your ability or ensuring that someone else in the agency does

• Amending, revising or redeveloping campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director or clients

• Giving comprehensive instructions each time production is briefed and ensuring amends are legible and marked-up on a clean layout

• Working with art directors or the creative director in the casting of actors for TV and radio work

• Taking ownership of work and being proactive about its progress through the approval process

• Managing the copy server, ensuring that the reference folders are kept up-to-date and that other copywriters can easily locate the files you work on

• Working on several campaigns at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines

• Managing time effectively and alerting your line manager when difficulties are anticipated

• Working with and supporting other members of the team where necessary
