THIS CONTRACT WITH THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE (MOD) IS INSIDE IR35 PAYING UPTO £351.43 PER DAY FOR 6 MONTHS BASED IN BRISTOL

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Providing HR insight and input into the development of business strategy, including responsibility for the delivery of HR strategy, in line with operational business needs; Supporting managers in enhancing business performance through improving the performance, capability and motivation of its people; Provide the HR expertise to projects; Identifying and own HR best practice on behalf of the business.

Job Description

A high-level review that was undertaken in early 2018 showed that we have an opportunity to modernise and improve the overall operating framework, its systems, processes, standards and policies. We also need to ensure we have the right skills required to undertake the job now and, in the future, and where we need to develop these. We need to ensure there is a training and development framework to support staff and deliver the skills required in a timely fashion.

The People and Capability Work Stream contained within the MOD Commercial Plan includes the requirement to design and deliver an effective Defence Commercial Function Resourcing Strategy. The strategy must enable us to improve our performance in how we recruit our staff, how we manage and plan our resources, and help us to identify and reduce skills shortfalls across MOD. It is to include a deliberate strategy to improve diversity and inclusivity across the function

Skills and previous experience developing resourcing strategies, gathering the future vision and articulating the future requirement, development routes and delivery mechanisms is required.

The support is also expected to deliver a strategy implementation plan to enable the business to adopt and realise the resourcing strategy.

Key Tasks

In the delivery of this work there will a number of specified outcome-based deliverables that will be required of the external support with clear timelines and acceptance criteria.
