Working for an award winning, first class company with great benefits, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Senior Management team as Head of HR. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to set up a HR function within a dynamic organisation with circa 200 employees. With a busy and vibrant environment this stand-alone HR role will suit a self-motivated individual with the ambition to really make a difference and add value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Devise and implement the agreed HR strategy and objectives to ensure business objectives are achieved
Provide generalist support to all areas of the business in all HR related matters to ensure a best practice approach is applied
Lead initiatives on change management across the group through working in partnership with managers
Play an active part in the Senior Management team to deliver on the development and engagement of the team
Drive and own the resourcing and talent strategy for the business ensuring there are effective workforce plans and recruitment strategies in place to meet the changing needs of the business. Ultimately ensuring we attract people with the right skills, behaviours and values
Provide coaching for managers on HR policies and practices to ensure effective and smooth employee relations
Identify training plans with managers and align the training needs to the agreed Learning & Development budget
Responsible for the HR relations for all employees
Ensure that all HR practices are in adherence with employment legislation and that these are reviewed and kept up to date
Check and authorise the monthly payroll to ensure everything is accurately processed in a timely manner
Responsible for the management and implementation of employee benefits

To be considered for the position, you must have:

Essential:

At least 5 years' experience in a senior HR generalist role
Experience of developing and implementing new HR processes
Strong knowledge of employment law along with the ability to commercially apply
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Ability to think broadly and commercially
Experience of managing budgets e.g. recruitment and learning & development
Ability to coach and mentor

Desirable:

CIPD qualified or equivalent
