Help Lewisham get the Bakerloo Line!

Lewisham has a real chance to get the tube network for the first time ever. This is a very real prospect, but it's not assured.

The Council is hugely positive about the benefits that the Bakerloo Line can bring. We're now looking for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to help us make sure it happens and that Lewisham takes full advantage of the opportunities it can bring to the borough.

The role

On behalf of the Council, you'll lead Lewisham's efforts in making the case for Phases 1 and 2 of the Bakerloo line Extension.

You'll work collaboratively with TfL to ensure the BLE proposals are developed in line with our aspirations for the borough. You'll also be the lead support to the Executive Director who chairs the Council's BLE board.

What we're looking for

We want credible go getters, who are team players comfortable with working in a truly collaborative way. Applicants should have sound experience of networking with key stakeholders, such as the GLA, TfL, local groups and institutions. A good knowledge and experience of regeneration and an ability to see how strategic infrastructure projects can help the council meet its objectives for the borough will be essential.

In return, we'll offer excellent development opportunities, plus a range of benefits that includes a career average pension scheme, flexible working and the opportunity to make a real difference to our local community.
