This includes driving procurement and contracting strategies that lower the total cost of care while ensuring quality. The Leader reports to the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and strategizes, defines, plans, organizes, manages and leads Baptist Health's highly centralized supply management function over four counties, supporting nine acute care hospitals and over 100 outpatient and administrative locations. In this role, the leader oversees a cost-efficient logistics and distribution cycle to ensure timely distribution of equipment and goods with a focus on supporting quality healthcare and the operation of a centralized services and distribution center. Collaborates with key stakeholders and other corporate shared services departments to drive maximum interoperability and service. The Vice President of Supply Chain participates in key operational contract negotiations and oversees a team, which supports overall vendor management. Leader participates in various system-wide leadership committees and board sub-committees. The leader will play a key role in driving standardization and integration of new facilities and acquisitions as part of the system's growth strategy throughout South Florida. This position will lead over 230 employees that support over 1 billion dollars in annual spending. Qualifications: * The ideal candidate must have proven experience in developing and implementing supply chain and procurement shared services programs and strategies to lower costs while maintaining high quality service to all internal partners * Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior executive leadership, executive peers, and other internal and external stakeholder groups in a clear, concise and effective manner. * Excellent leader who is committed to employee engagement and development, in line with Baptist Health's core values. * Demonstrated success in utilization of technology to create and manage long-term solutions to meet strategic business unit and corporate goals. * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, or related field; master's degree strongly preferred * A dynamic leader with excellent negotiating abilities and experience combined with strong relationship-building abilities. * 10 plus years of experience in supply chain management required. * 5 plus years of leadership experience as the senior leader of successful supply chain organizations; experience in the healthcare or medical device industry preferred but not required * Strong business acumen, intelligence, and capability; able to think strategically and implement tactically; outstanding written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational abilities and the flexibility to adjust to changing conditions required. * Experience developing and implementing a shared services program for a multi-location system preferred.
