Safety & Regulatory Solutions offers specialized drug safety, regulatory affairs and clinical services across all therapeutic areas. The Regional VP, Commercial helps ensure the success of the organization through implementation and support of disciplined, leading-edge sales execution. This position is reserved for those individuals who lead a team that has a specific function focus (CROs, FLS, etc.). This will be achieved through a combination of oversight, training, mentoring, direct client meetings, editing of client proposals, and tracking of key team metrics that showcase team behavior. Some of the Activities include: * Functionally train other team members on a specific client market focus * Drive stronger Team Pipeline and increase opportunity Commit for all products and quotas; * Forecast Teams Commit for opportunity closes monthly * Track and Encourage F2F customer visits; * Support team s F2F multi-product bid defenses * Review Pricing for any teams strategic bid to ensure a quality proposal; * Participate in quarterly account plans; * Provide input into client proposals to ensure unique, specialty services are documented and reflect the quality of the teams and services offered * Help drive Product Awareness sessions for their target market * Review Pricing for any teams strategic bid to ensure a quality proposal; * Manage some weekly Sales pipeline calls; * Deliver and manage from key metrics relative to the performance of the Commercial division; * Share responsibility in meeting financial and customer loyalty objectives; * Provide feedback to Presales/Solutions Consultants to deliver demonstrations and presentation * Provide feedback on direct team presentation skills * Participate in executive governance and business development strategies Supervise, Mentor and Train Direct Reports: * Communicating job expectations * Planning, monitoring, evaluating and appraising job results * Coaching, counseling, developing and disciplining staff * Identifying, mentoring and developing key staff to eventually assume greater responsibilities and growth within the company * Approving direct reports time sheets, requests for time off and/or overtime ensuring appropriate levels of resources are met at all times * Coordinating and conducting new hire interviews; facilitating hiring decision-continuously seeking to increase the skillset within the team * Assisting staff with problem solving, troubleshooting ideas, and prioritizing work load * Developing team metrics to monitor performance, time lines and work load allocation SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by: * Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards * Participating in the modification of company SOPs related to Business Development Contributes to team effort by: * Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes * Helping others to achieve results * Performing other duties as assigned Maintains Technical Knowledge by: * Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training * Maintaining a strong understanding of Industry trends and applicable technology Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree, Masters Degree (MBA) preferred, and/or at least 10 years work experience in the life sciences industry; Experience: Ten (10) years experience in either Medical Imaging/Scientific background or eClinical industry Commercial leadership experience in related life sciences disciplines; Specialty knowledge in a specific life sciences area; Clinical trials experience preferred; Minimum of fifteen (10) years experience with significant responsibilities for planning, P&L management, customer relations, and personnel management; Excellent commercial, customer facing and negotiation skills; Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills; Skillful at building relationships with senior executives within client organizations; Experience with navigating solutions to business and customer problems; Additional skill set: Strong interpersonal skills; Strong leadership skills; High degree of ability to coach and motivate individuals; Goal-oriented Ability to maintain professional and positive attitude; Working conditions: Travel: Up to 60% Lifting: 0-15lbs Other: Computer work for long periods of time EEO Statement: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is an equal opportunity employer. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. evaluates qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, protected veteran status, disability/handicap status or any other legally protected characteristic.
